Since we are still waiting for final confirmation from the UN Secretary
General, nothing can be confirmed until that happens. But we *expect*
that the four main issues (openness, security, access, diversity) will
remain as well as capacity-building as a cross-cutting theme. The
Advisory Group will probably remain about the same, with some
replacements for personal reasons or professional changes. But again,
the SG has not made the final ruling on that.

The conference venue in Rio is the Hotel Windsor Barra, which is about
20 minutes by taxi outside of the main tourist areas (Ipanema, Copacabana).

I share the concerns of several in the AG that we are late in our
planning for Rio because we are still waiting for a green light from New
York. But Markus Kummer and the Brazilian hosts are moving forward and
working on an agenda and more of the logistical details while we await
the SG's approval.
